Date & Venue: 7 june – 10 June 2019 – Saint Rumbold’s College, Mechelen
Attendees: 59
Number of sessions played: 52

This was our third convention, we had learned a lot, preparations were smoother than before and the stress level was lower. The interest and the number of attendees however, were significantly higher. An excellent motivation for David and me to push our limits.

A horrible car accident in Mechelen caused some delay on Friday. Stupidities in the tunnel delayed our British friends. But that was actually the only stress factor over the whole weekend. The friendly atmosphere we had while saying goodbye in Winter was exactly the same atmosphere when people arrived on Friday. Like it was just another day at the office.

We can discuss numbers, we can sum up sessions, we can show pictures. But we cannot describe the wonderful experience of this 18xx convention. We want to thank all of you for making the trip to Mechelen, to join us on our 18xx adventure, to enjoy games, drinks and food, to support us and to motivate us to keep this train going.

Looking forward to see you all again in Mechelen.
